Overview:

IndigoVision’s Mainstream™ H.264 video Baseline Profile decoder IP adds high-performance H.264 video decoding to existing systems. It is particularly suited to adding video decoding capabilities to cameras and other portable, battery-powered devices, such as mobile phones and PDAs.

The Mainstream™ H.264 video decoder is compliant with the H.264 Baseline Profile standard and has been designed to complement the Mainstream™ H.264 BP Encoder. This combination offers full duplex support but requiring fewer resources than the Mainstream™ Main Profile decoder.

Based on the single clocked, synchronous, fully hardware pipelined Mainstream™ architecture the decoder requires minimal intervention from a host processor and can be controlled by a low-cost, low-power processor such as in an ARM or MIPS based SOC.
