Overview:
IndigoVision’s Mainstream™ H.264 video Main Profile decoder IP adds high-performance H.264 video decoding to existing systems. It is particularly suited to adding video decoding capabilities to cameras and other portable, battery-powered devices, such as mobile phones and PDAs, as well as the last generation set-top boxes and DVD technologies.
The Mainstream™ H.264 video decoder is fully compliant with the H.264 Main Profile standard. The decoder contains support for higher resolution decompression and can decode arbitrary resolutions up to and including high definition, all at full frame rate.
Based on the single clocked, synchronous, fully hardware pipelined Mainstream architecture the decoder requires minimal intervention from a host processor and can be controlled by a low-cost, low-power processor such as in an ARM or MIPS based SOC.
